Irony... such a fascinating concept. Write me a poem with a mild, maybe even hidden irony. Give me your best.
This contest closes at the beginning of September, though I may extend for up to a week longer if I don't get enough (around 10, perhaps?) entries.
If you have any questions feel free to IM me.
Love,
Kiusha

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 3, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 300, Bronze: 150
- Final notes: Ironic that the winner should be a poem full of errors, when I'm usually so fiercely devoted to grammar and spelling, but the poem's genius is undeniable. I was very impressed with what I read here, and I would like to thank you all very much for entering. If you want an extended comment on your poem, IM me, please, if not understand that the comment on your poem will include: Thank you for entering, and thank you for this wonderful poem! The finalist list contains those poems that impressed me most, beside the three winners, of course.
Love,
Kiusha

The genius of the winning poem is very deniable.

Perhaps your own genius caused you to miss hers.

Riiight... I am not saying I deserved to win, but thw inning poem, which you openly had said "Wasn't what you were looking for"... didn't. No offense to them, I have a feeling this was rigged.

Well, why don't you tell me, then... why did the writer of the winning poem, whom, by the way I'd never even heard of before this contest, not deserve to win? And please refrain from insulting me again.
-
-
Because if it wasn't what you were looking for, then why would the poems that WERE what you were looking for lose? You can say you never heard of them, but it's easy to lie, and I'll believe as I wish.

-
Because my mind was stuck in the belief that the irony would be inside the poem, rather than -be- the poem, as the winner made happen. Genius, and if you can't see it, your loss. Since you did decide to insult me again I will now put you on my ignore list, at least once I find out how to do that, since you'll be the first on there. Congratulations, you're a winner after all.
