I did this about 16 years ago as one of a series of 'shadowy nudes'. the original is about
24 x 36 inches. It was done using soft pastels and charcoal.
The print will be approximately 11 x14 inches.

This is excellent, it is a piece that would fit right in on my wall - I hope to come up with something that does this justice.

I'd settle for the handshake - really I would - though the piece is wonderful. I bought a couple of art books in my travels (we carry an extra suitcase for purchases, which are mainly books and art) and both of them have the Manet painting of the bar girl and her reflection in the wrong place - I'm sure you know the one. I know f-all about art, but I imagine that the artist, in portraying reflection, must have to work from imagination, as surely the reflection never lines up the way he would want.
I think I won't be writing these days, as I prepare for the school year, but I hope you get a whole bunch of worthy entries for this fantastic prize.

You know I love your nude paintings, David and I have used them as inspiration for quite a few poems. I have seen this one and I so love it. Will bookmark and see if something "nude" comes to me
