Kowabunga Dudes! And welcome to number who knows what of my contests... Incase you didn't notice, this is a biggie, and i'll be giving alot of my points away, so you should know right now that if i'm unsatisfied with the number or quality of entries i get... um, thats right, i'll be cancelling the contest... i reserve that right as of now....
Alright... now, to explain the title... i'm sure your all like "What? how old is this person?" well the answer to the latter question is 20, and the answer to the first is "YES, this is a contest about teenage mutant ninja turtles, or more specifically, TMNT, and yes, despite the fact that i am so clearly old and aged - well, maybe not - yes, i do like this movie!"
I just saw it, and i must say, i was pleased. They stuck with the story that they had been establishing in the most recent cartoon series (yes, i watch that too) and even advanced it in a way that i found pleasing... so... yes... my contest is going to be about giant, genetically altered (A.K.A - mutated) turtles learning the ninja arts from a likewise altered giant rat... anyone who takes life too seriously should leave now.
Your options
A) while i found the movie itself interesting, i also found the implications of inter-family relations interesting as well. specifically, the conflict between Leo and Raf. (this seems to be a common thing with me... and i was likewise interested by the relationship between the two Adamas in the BSG series) ANYWAYS... i want you to write about this love-hate relationship between these two brothers (if you don't feel comfortable writing about big green turtles, write about two other subjects, but the conflict must be the same)
Each of the turtles undeniably has their own personality... write about your favorite, and why he is your favorite. OR, write about which turtle most resembles you (personality-wise i mean, unless you're a five foot tall talking amphibian and despite all that still feel comfortable discussing yourself)
C) Write about one of the villians in TMNT...
D) write about why you like teenage mutant ninja turtles
E) One of the things in this movie that struck me as strange is the absense of Mikey's obsession with pizza... okay, sure, he ate it, but he didn't talk about it or long for it like he usually does... write about how wrong it is that they excluded that facet of his personality from his big screen character!
F) A large part of this film is centered around the struggle for leadership between Raf and Leo... write about which of this two, or which of the four turtles, should be the leader and why.
G)AND FINALLY! write about your favorite scene in the TMNT movie, and why you liked it.

3)No internet lingo (turtle/surfer lingo is acceptable)
4)I'm allowing prewrites, but all entries MUST comply with the rules and MUST possess qualities that allow them to be catagorized into one of the above options
5)enter as many times as you want... its a big pot after all... so make it worth my while.
6) absolutly... ABSOLUTELY .... NO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Bashing! I've loved these guys since i was 2... I suffer from inferiority complex because i don't have a shell... if you speak one word against them, you will be instantly and utterly DQ'd and added to the great big list of people who peeve me! (and if at some future date, you are Kowabunga'd to death and left at the funeral home wrapped in red, orange, purple, and blue... my name might just come up in the investigation.)

I'd like to say that I had alot of fun on this one, and it was very cool to find so many TMNT fans out there. As always, it would have been more fun of a HUNDRED people had entered... but still, i was surprised by the number of secret teenage mutant ninja turtle geeks that did come out of the woodwork.
Everyone did a great job anyways, and it was hard to choose the trophy winners. In the end though, i did my best.
