My Home Town

Here’s a chance to boast about your home town.

Let your imagination run wild; make me want to move there.

Any form or style except prose, I want poetry not stories. I love formal styles and poetic devices, I like metaphor and originality. I love children, horses and household pets but be sure if you use them to write about the town or city.

Rules:

(break them and I'll sick the PerVirtuous  bunny on you to infest your nostrils.)

1. No Dirty Pretty whatever that is, no cutting.
2. Mild erotica is ok if done with class.
3. No unnecessary profanity.
4. Sticky Caps are stupid, so don't do it.
5. Please don't enter unless you know what you are doing and are confident in your talent.
6. I prefer Rhyme, but if you are confident that what you write is brilliant, than okay.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on August 23, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 1500, Silver: 750, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 17 people
  • Final notes:
Thank you all so very much for entering the “Home Town” contest. We had the most wonderful submissions. I loved reading about all the home towns and I wish I could give everyone gold. You all put a lot of effort into this and I hope you had as much fun entering your masterpieces as I has reading them. Thanks again.

    Love,
    Amera ♥

Sure, why not? If they aren't used I'll remove them 4 days before contest ends.

I'm a writer and can't even write grammatically correct, my 7th grade English teacher would kill me!

Why for God's sake? He isn't setting a shining example for us I don't think.

I had seen this contest and was thinking about it. I just sat this morning when I went to your page to look for something to read actually and took another look. I made it in under the wire as the last entry. I'm happy I got back to it because Boston, Massachusetts truly rocks and this was fun to do. Thank you for always thinking of the best things to write about. You are amazing! Sunniest of days for you!!!!!!!!
