"What You Love"

I thought of doing a sort of pay it forward contest, since its been all the craze this year. There will be a prompt but there is no time limit, and there is no maximum entries. I want everybody to write about the same thing, but in a form that love to do, be it made up by them or a recognizable form, it does not matter as long as you love to do it.

First Rules:
1. No sticky cap
2. No cursing or expletives
3. No bashing other poets
4. You can write free-verse but make sure the lines are not paragraph length and has at least a little form.
5. I do not like erotica unless it is tasteful.
6. Please make the length reasonable, not too long or too short.
7. must write in author comment box what form you chose and why.

Those are the rules. There will only be a gold place winner but I will organize those put in the semi-finals from greatest on down and ther will be a well thought out comment on every poem.

Prompt: dreams

Interpret this any way you will and you don't actually have to put the word in your poem, just draw inspiration from it.

Good luck and am looking forward to all entries.

Your Host,
Tiphanie

p.s I know this doesn't have to be said, but there are no Pre-Writes allowed, sorry.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on October 4, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 300
  • Final notes:
To all those that have waited with impatience for me to judge this contest, I am sorry. Because it has taken me so long to do this, I have elimanated the stipulation that the winner has to create another contest with the points, unless he/she wants to. Again, my apologies.

    Your Host,
    Tiphanie
