2. No black backgrounds please.
3. One entry per person. Prewrites allowed.

This huguenauties contest’s one we’d like you to be in,
no matter whether, in the voting, you should lose or win.
We simply want to see which national icon fires your pride
to write a verse or two about and know that you have tried.

We hope that, in your busy schedule, you can find the time
to put an entry forward (even if it doesn’t rhyme!)
If you prefer Free Verse or Prose, you’ll not be losing face -

and most of all, when entering, we hope you’ll have some fun!

    Cool!

My goal is to get even less votes than last time (if that is possible.) And I have plenty of weird ideas that should do just that.

Cool, my thoughts are running wild now. Just one entry...ok, I'll wake up Sir Ima,

We are so rich in natural wonders, I will have to rack my brain for a suitable man-made example. In any case, I am not writing an ode to the CN Tower!

    An Apology from Heathcote!

As Heathcote is overseas at present, he has asked me to apologise on his behalf and to comment on all entries for him. He will, of course, read every one when he returns, hopefully in time for the close of this contest.
