Selfishness, Selflessness

Write me a poem about one of those two words.

Rules:
1.) I'd rather not read anything along perverted lines, but if you think it's a good example of such, then go right ahead.
2.) Cursing isn't one of my favorite things.
3.) I suppose these aren't really rules. You are the poet, and you should know how to use your words.
4.) Oh, and grammar and spelling errors are... disappointing.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on August 14, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50
  • Final notes:
Everyone wrote well, and I hope that anyone who found my advice worth their time will use it and make their poetry better. To think oneself to be good enough to not need any advice is sorely mistaken. Work well with what you have, and build on it.

Thanks for the silver, JP. I'm having trouble figuring out who won the gold. There's no gold trophy next to any of the poems here that I can see. Please let me know. Thanks.
