Your Day In Court

HI folks this contest is a little different than you are used to. There is only one option but infinate possibilities. I want you to justify something awful that you have done whether real or imaginary and I want you to do it in less than 10 lines. I believe those who can put great emotion and imagery into small poems are truely talented so in your ten lines I want pure emotion and vivid imagery. The person whomakes me see and feel the most in those ten or less lines will be the winner.

Rules:

-Put the action you are justifying in your authours notes.

-Swear as much as you like. (but if you do mark your poem as adult)Remember though with only 10 lines too much profanity will start to detract from your poem.

-Erotica is allowed but again mark it as adult.

-No funny stuff like chat speak or random caps.

-Good punctiation and grammer is a must.

-Prewrites allowed but make sure they fit.

-Enter as many times as you like.

Hints:
I love Dark poetry
I love inspirational poetry
I love poems with a difference
I love clever and witty poems
I love rhyme when done well
I am not keen on love poems unless they are different to the same old stuff you usually read.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on August 10, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 150, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
Thanks to every one who entered. Though some didn't read the contest properly I have judged entries on who gave me what I asked for with the most emotion and imagery involved. Contest was judged by my opinion only and is not an indication of talent just how I felt about each of these entries.

    Congrats to the winners!

You know...I have never written a fresh poem for a contest, but I read your title, and was mused. I wrote a poem, but now in reading the details of your contest, I can't see it fitting...I may submit for the fun of it though...afterall, it does possess most of the elements you're looking for.

I haven't brought it to AP from Ms word yet, but I know it'll show more than 10 lines. I hope you do not count spaces...The actual poem is 10 lines exactly. I promise.
