The contest is about you writing on an experience you've had in life that you at least would label spiritual. In other words spirtual can be defined and described anyway you see it. If it's going to be a ho hum erotic tale of the two of you exploding at the same time kind of stuff, better make it good. Yes, real fucking good. If it is a Christian experience you have to do better than a Hallmark card. Or a typical sweet witness that sounds like a used car salesmen. Get down there and in words that only come from a deep experience, create, write. What I'm saying there has to be some blood and spit on this, that it is an experience you know on a personal level, be it with the devil, a tree, Jesus, what/whoever. If you've never had a real spiritual awakening pick another contest. If you have had such an experience dig deep, put your creative talents to work, and give it birth.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on August 12, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 700, Silver: 300, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: It was very interesting for me to see all the different views on spirituality that you expressed. Some were embracing the dark, or going through darkness looking for light, others were with nature, people, traditional and non traditional takes on God, and one on anal sex. Whatever it takes to light up your chakra. Big thanks to everyone: a few I might have been too harsh on, when I had no right, authority, or adequate abilities to be harsh. Sorry. Get even.
Dave

Wasn't sure what this would bring out, but have been happy with the results. Even a little surprised, in a good way. There have been a nice spread of ideas on what spirituality is to the individual. thanks: Dave
