Welcome to the First *POW*
POW = Poem of the Week
The POW will be held every Saturday ~
IF, you enter a Poem which you think is worthy of the POW, then enter Now!
The *POW* will be raised to 500 points for Gold ~
The *POD* is 300 points for Gold ~
The *POM* = Poem of the Month, is worth 700 points for Gold ~
Are you Poet enough to win the POM ?
The *POY* = Poem of the Year ~
It will receive a significant Award of Points, and of course, YOU, will hold sole Title of,
~ Poet of the Year ~
So, for the POW, I would like for you to Show me your best poem written on July 14th or 15th, 2007 ~

Your Poem can not have been in a *Quickie* contest for these days!
I want FRESH POETRY!
I DO NOT want a Poem that is in another contest at the same time as the POD, POW, POM or POY!
PLEASE RE-READ THAT LINE YOU JUST READ!

If you have already written it for today, and you want to enter it, then pre-writes are open......HOWEVER, it MUST have been written on....July 14th or 15th, 2007!

EXCEPT.....massive cursing, perverted stuff with children or animals or HARD Erotica....Sensual is fine ~
I want to be inspired by something FRESH!

ALSO Poets.....watch out for the *Religious* tone in your writes......I am a God-Fearin Man, but Religious tones can become *common* as well ~
This is NOT to be-little my Faith or your attempt to write about yours, it is just a warning that ( UNCOMMON ) Themes are what I enjoy most!
Please keep an eye out for the *POM* which comes out last Saturday of the month ~
The POW, POM or POY.....along with your Vote, SHALL BE IN YOUR AUTHORS' BOX for the POW, POM & POY!!!!!!!!!
Just the POD goes into your POD poem, because I am the only one voting on that one ~

Many of you were soooo close to the finals, yet you disregarded the Rules and had to be DQ'd ~
I hate when that happens.....especially when I do it myself ~
Rules are very important.....and the 20 Line Max is set for a reason ~
I can not read short stories....I get bored quickly, and I think it is possible to say sooo much in just a few lines, as the poem I wrote just last night will show ~
If you have to use the whole 20 lines, then you are still, pushing it ~
Just my own opinion ~
Congrats to the winners, and I hope to see you all in the new POD, Poem of the Day, which is up and running as we speak ~
The next POW will of course be next Saturday & Sunday!
