This is my first contest.
PLEASE READ THINGS THROUGH!
I'm looking for some new favorites to add.
I'm looking for some part of an AP family.
Other than that news, I want to be impressed!
Regular Rules You're Used To Seeing:
(1) No StICky CapS.
(2) NONE OF THIS - It makes me think you're in a "yell".
(3) No Pre-Written (Obviously).
(4) No obsessive profanity. It sounds cliche to me.
(5) If you're going to get sexual, label so in your author notes.
(6) This is anonymous, so I won't know who's writing what until this is over, unless of course, you feel a lil froggy and leap to rating my comments. I really don't care what you choose to do.
(7) If you have problems with the following options and don't know what to write, check out my poetry and you may get a hint of what style I like, or what form in metaphor to bring to the table. [Don't do this unless you MUST!]
Now, for OPTIONS
PTIONS
PTIONS:
(1) I love things with an idea of "TRAGIC BEAUTY". If you write in this general vecenity, put "Tragic Beauty" in the author notes.
(2) The idea of an addiction that you can never escape is quite the pull at heart. If you write towards this, put "Addiction" in the author notes.
(3) I love the metaphor of what nature can bring to any life's offerings [i.e, rivers, trees, thunder, seas]. I'd like a piece written in metaphor to the idea of life's changing plains on your own. If you go this way with it, please put "One Last Mad Love Storm" in your author notes.
(4) SLEEP! Dreams. Sleeping to Dream. Give me your euphoric state of the eyes hitting the back of your lids! If you take trip to the ideas of slumber, please put "I Sleep for my River of Dreams" in your author notes.
------------
I do not plan to DQ anyone, I think that's just bullshit. If you forget to place the phrase in your author notes, I'm not going to shit my pants and cast you into the horrible abiss of shitty poets. I figure if I can't figure out which category your write deserves to be placed in, then, well, you suck. In the nicest way possible.
------------
I'm excited for this, so bring to me, your muses.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 29, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: I wasn't pleased with the outcome of this contest, but considering it was my first one I'm going to leave the lack there of... to myself for having so many options. I was thoroughly happy with the five who placed, and couldn't satisfy myself in placing them in order because all had a different approach that i loved. Thank you for entering, I'm gonna look into another contest soon with less options for those interested!!
