(Picture credit: "Drawn" by ME! LOL, ain't I a great artist?)
"Skewl suxx !!", or in normal English: "School sucks!"
This is quite a popular opinion amongst students of all ages I believe.
BUT...
#1) We are doing this work experience / internship / whatever else you might call it... And I got to know another aspect of school: Being a teacher! I am helping my former grade school teacher teach her class (second grade) for two weeks, which is really interesting and quite insightful.
#2) Today I was at school anyways because I needed a new student ID... And I was more than just happy to meet my Latin teacher... (that one I have more than just a student - teacher relationship with... it's more like a protégé - mentor relationship
)
And she asked me for my telephone number, so she can call me within the next few days...
#3) There was a teacher whom some of us really adored... She retired a year ago and we miss her a lot... She's also more than a teacher to us... I like to call her Friday.
These are three main reasons why I think school does NOT suck.
UPDATE:
Oh my gosh!! My Latin teacher just phoned me! I thought I was gonna die because I was so excited! (LOL) And she promised to come over for seeing me teach the rest of my lesson tomorrow...
I must be craaaazy letting her watch me teach... Well, we kinda agreed that she won't pick on me afterwards because this is not a Latin speech.

Oh yeah... I had a fun time teaching the kids about CATS! (Not about the musical though...
) Uhh... they spent the first 15 minutes of the lesson telling me all about their cats and other pets... and everything else that came to their minds!
What I want you to do now is (a.k.a. tHe OpTiOnS):
For #1: A poem about a lesson taught by me (the assistant teacher), whatwever subject it may be... Either something 'ordinary' like Math... or some weird, made-up subject...
For #2: Write a poem with your thoughts on what we might chat about on the phone (Maybe I will tell you afterwards what she really said...
)
[Example for this option can be found here - Please don't feel obliged to comment...
http://allpoetry.com/poem/show/3181858]
For #3: Theories on why she's called Friday (this is not her real name...)
OR From my point of view, telling her how much I love chemicals... (She used to be a chemistry teacher)
tHe RuLeS
- no chatspeak, an exception would be using it for "dramatic effects" ... well, you know what I mean.
- no pre-writes
- sTiCkY cApS particularly invited, but not mandatory
- nothing adult
- make it funny, I want to roll on the floor laughing...
- one entry per person --- STRIKE THAT! I am no allowing as many as you like, because I don't really have that many entires...
- you may combine options (that'll probably impress me!)
Now... Get writing!
I'm looking forward to your entries!
Good luck!
