I want poems that have caused a stir
Poems with arguments going on in the comments
Poems that don't reside on the fence
Extra chance of winning if it is a new write that gets lots of response and stirs emotions
There will be higher points come judging.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 22, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 70
- Final notes: Wow what can I say? Except thank you, two thank yous actually. The first to all the people who entered poems that have caused controversy of some sort. Thanks. The second thank you goes out to the majority of others. Thank you all SO much for wasting my time by entering poems into a contest asking for controversy that were about as controversial as vegetable soup at a hippy convention.
What a load of rubbish. I could have printed these out for my ultra-conservative Christian grand mother who is still active in her Salvation Army duties at the ripe old age of 96, a woman who still hits me for saying the word ‘fart’ and thinks watching TV after watershed is a sin and she would have thought them quite tame.
The Cow In The Bar gets a mention because it upset so many fat fuckers; the winners did so because of the comments and the controversy they stirred. Well done.
A dishonourable mention goes to the Vultures poem, what a sad, sad man. And believe me, it is an accomplishment to get a dishonourable mention amongst some of the tripe entered.
What would have been controversial would have been me awarding any of the other crap an award.
There were some good ones who didn’t make it to the finalists. The bad ones know who they are.
