Last week I hosted a "quickie" contest. They seem to be all the rage on here as of late, and I must admit I quite enjoyed it and had some wonderful entries. The name of the contest was "Raindrop Morphing" http://allpoetry.com/contest/2356972
This is not such a quickie that it will close in an hour or so. I will close it tomorrow morning [July 10th] or after 20 entries[whichever comes first] This was extended for one extra day. I would like more entries to judge from if possible.
You did so well morphing into a raindrop, that I am sure you can do it with a dewdrop as well.
Become one and go from there wherever you might fancy to be.
The rules are pretty much the same------a few differences only. I will allow "mildly erotic or sensual" this time. I am sure most of you understand what is meant by that. If you overstep those boundaries I will ask you once to re-write it-or I will disqualify. Please understand that I am not turned on by vulgarity and that there is a huge difference between sensuality and mild erotica vs pornography.
so the rules are:
1) be curteous and do not bash each others writes
2) try to comment on each others writes [that is not a requirement though] as I understand the lack of time to do so all the time. I will not hold it against you if you do NOT comment
3) I will comment on each entry while judging [I will read them all though as time allows, but will reserve commenting until later]
4) Please no more than 20 lines
5)Form does not matter...if you rhyme however make sure it is not forced. Also if you are using a complicated form , please note the name of the form in your author note.
6) Please use proper grammar as well as spell-check-but I can overlook an accidental typo. We are all fallable.
I am looking forward to your entries . Be creative....you are writers and "imagination" is one of your strengths. Best wishes to all my wee lil dewdrops...
thank you,
reenie
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 11, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: Thank you once again for a wonderful contest [whomever you may be]This is one of the few that I have held anonymously, and I believe I prefer it the other way. That is not because I want my friends to win [on the contrary] I believe I know what they are capable of and I hold them to those standards Everyone here did a fantastic job and this is the first time that I had one contestant a bit upset with me [I guess because he is rightfully proud of his work , and I failed to see and or read the entry the way he thought I would}. I hope we can go on from here......but I felt that I could not make exceptions in order to be fair to all others. Thanks again. The ones that did not recieve a trophy are not in any specific order
congratulations and hugz of thank you,
reenie

Hahahaaa..."fallable" That was quite clever.
This looks rather interesting. I hope you get enough good entries to make judging difficult.

THANK YOU so much for my bronze trophy. I always feel humbled to win anything when the entries are so very good and the contest of such high quality. Thanks again and good luck with future contests and your writing.
