Often, as writers and poets, we find inspiration in other works of art (or at least I do), such as music, paintings, photography, sculptures, etc.
I want you to write me a poem inspired by another work of art. It can be any style, any length, rhyme or not rhyme. I really don't care, as long as it was inspired by another piece of art.
In your author's comments, please tell me what it was inspired by and who the artist is. For example, a great deal of my work is inspired by Evanescence's awesome music. If you listened to one of their songs and wrote a poem, say "Inspired by 'Going Under' by Evanescence".

The five I chose as winners were all so wonderful I had a difficult time deciding who deserved which award. The first place winner was, hands down, the one that stuck out in my mind. I tried to judge the others by how much I remembered them as I was doing other things. But the honorable mentions I really thought deserved to be tied with second and third place --- you just can't do that!
