Positivity Stemming from Addiction

This is an addiction contest with a difference. I'd like you to write about the up side of being an addict. For instance the things you've learnt and the strong person it's made you that you may not have been otherwise.
I know that I appreciate life so much more because I've been on the dark side so lets focus on the good that's come out of it all for this one.

If you'd like to join us positive addicts here's the link to Out of the Tomb Rising from Addiction:

  • Contest was judged on July 8, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 350, Silver: 230, Bronze: 160, Honorable mention: 6 people
  • Final notes:
I asked for positivity stemming from addictions so chose the ones that fit that criterion the best. Thanks for your entries all. I cried, felt joy and hope and was generally impressed with the honesty and effort that went into the poems.

    A great Contest

So mcuh good can come out of something so bad, if the person lets it. If they accept their mistake and learn how to change and grow, then they will find a world full of wonderful opportunities and many good adventures to make them happy content and strong.
A wonderful idea for a contest. I hope you get some great entries.
