About the judging:
We realize that you all do vary in age. So, your poems will be judged on the following things AND we will also take your age into consideration so that the judging remains fair and unbiased.
1) The form of poetry you've chosen.
2) The length of the poem (was it too short/long to make your point)
3) Capitalization/punctuation/grammar/spelling
4) How well your poem fit with the guidelines of the contest
5) The creativity of your poem
Rules:
1) Please make sure we can read your poem!
Distracting backgrounds or hard to see fonts are not good.
We want to see your poem, not your background.
2) Be sure your language is appropriate for young .
We should have to say it, but no profanity or "adult" topics.
3) Make sure to stick to the topic of the contest.
4) You are allowed creative freedom and dark poems are great
but no suicide or self harm poems will be allowed.
Depending on the number of entries and the quality of those entries, prizes more prizes may be awarded. This is a real contest kids, we want your best work and will comment to the best of our abilities to try and help you improve as best we can.
