This is my first contest, so don't be suprized if you see something weird... or whatever.
I want to apologize ahead of time, but if you see something that offends you, I'm sorry. I don't mean it to...
1) When I enter contests, I'm most easily inspired by pictures, so I'll post a few I like. If you choose this option, please write the number or link in your author's notes. Also, don't use the names of the pictures, either. Come up with your own.

3) Give me a story. Not short and dull, or whatever. Long and epic. Fantasy, home life, funny, anything, really. Just make sure it is at least 50 lines, and not one line less. Spaces don't count.
4) Write about your family, whether it be good or bad.
5) Lyric inspiration. You can use it as your title, in the poem, or not in there at all. Just be inspired. If you choose this option, please put the lyrics in your authors notes.
"So grab this statement
And read between the lines
I'm walking on an edge
That's how I stay alive"
Escape the Fate, The Webs We Weave
"Move on, Gone forever
I'm done, makes no difference
Poison time kills slowly you're done
Makes no difference"
The Used, The Ripper
"The sun floods your room as you drown your
Lungs full of breathing
Your true love believe"
The Used, Find A Way
"This is not natural
A bunch of holes where the dead used to be underground
Forget supernatural, 'cause all those resting in peace are out walking the streets
Yeah, with no heartbeat"
The Used, Wake The Dead
"I built my life like my bike on a rigid frame
So nothing bends it only breaks into pieces and pieces"
Crossfade, The Deep End
"A certain girl she took my hand and ran it up her thigh.
She licked her lips and pulled my hair, I fall in love for a night"
Escape the Fate, Situations
"Mother, where are you today?
You took a peice of me the day you went away.
No recollection or the smell of your perfume.
I took a peice of you the day I left the womb"
Escape the Fate, The Day I Left the Womb
"Hey you, what do you see?
Something beautiful, something free?
Hey you, are you trying to be mean?
If you live with apes man, it's hard to be clean"
Marilyn Manson, The Beautiful People
"But I'm not a slave to a god
that doesn't exist
But I'm not a slave to a world
that doesn't give a shit"
Marilyn Manson, The Fight Song
"Feeling unknown
And you're all alone
Flesh and bone
By the telephone
Lift up the receiver
I'll make you a believer"
Marilyn Manson, Personal Jesus
6) Write something funny. Be warned, I don't laugh easily at poems that are aimed to be funny. I've read alot of poems where people claimed they were laughing after the first two lines and for ten minutes afterward when I didn't even crack a smile.
7) I've seen this option before I enjoyed writing for it. The "Anti Wordbank." If you use this option, you can write about anything, just don't use the following words or variations (ex. blinked, blinking, blinks, ect.):
I
Am
Collect
Rain
Fun
Crazy
Examined
Love
Life
Universe
Unique
Soft
Icey
Blink
Stopped
8) Tell me about a habit. Whether it be drugs, smoking, cutting (I would rather you not use cutting, but you can), just write about it.
9) Write about a sunset or the beach. Must be less than 20 lines, but more than 5. Spaces don't count.
10) Write about love. First love, second love, what seemed like love, but was not, the pain that you feel when someone didn't/doesn't love you back. Anything that has to do with love.
11) Use a combination of anything of the options. Just tell me which options you used in you authors notes.
Rules:
1) NO dirty pretty. I don't care if you're the master of dirty pretty, I DO NOT want any.
2) Please write your name in the authors notes, otherwise I can't read your other work if I choose to. (reading your other work isn't part of the contest, I just want to be able to read it if I like the poem you entered.)
3) Please write the option and anything else you need to in the authors notes.
4) No adult anything.
5) Don't bash other poets. I'll DQ you if I see it.
6) Put "Pretty pink ponies prance around Polly Pocket planes" in your authors notes so I know you read the rules.
7) I won't be giving out any applause until the contest is over. I also won't comment on every poem. It depends how lazy I am at the moment.
8) Please don't let your poem be more than 50 lines long. The only poems that can be that long are the ones in option 3.
9) If you break any of the rules, I'll warn you once. if it isn't fixed by the time the contest ends, you will be DQed.
Have fun peeps!
