A Tisket, A Tasket, A Riddle in Your Basket

Ok, so I had to step this up a bit and get a little harder with the riddles.

For those just tuning in, I have written a little riddle and for you to enter this contest, you have to answer it. When you think you have the answer, enter.

What I want, is short poems (Under 10 lines) about your answer. If you don't put the answer in your poem, put it in your author's notes. Bonus points for those that can give me both common and scientific names as stated in the riddle, but you MUST have the common name.

1 day (may extend to 2), 20 entries. Gold gets the points though I will award the other trophies.

Good luck...
Storm

A little fluffiness sets me on my way
Often I am white, but sometimes I am gray

There is another color, you should know me by
I don't have any wings, but yet at times, I fly

I have so many uses, some are for good health
And when you set me free, I may bring you much wealth

I have many names, both common and scientific
And if you could name both, well that would be terrific

So do a little searching, and perhaps you will find
The seed to this riddle, is set within the rhyme

UPDATE: I have extended this another day in hopes a few more will enter.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on June 16, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 300
  • Final notes:
Thanks again to all who entered. Most got it, with the exception of one I'm not so sure entry! Te wording made this hard to judge, but thanks to people who don't read everything, my judging was made a little easier.

Great work everyone. When I get another riddle in my unfocusing brain, I'll post another.
