Just as the title says, I'm looking for poetry that's five lines or less. The last contest of this nature went very well so here's another one. Be expressive and creative...please. I WILL NOT, though, allow dark writes this time...there's enough sadness and darkness floating around this site without adding more so please refrain from that type of poetry...please
Knock yourselves out and go for the gold in five lines or less
Rules:
1.) NO DARK WRITES OF ANY NATURE
2.) BE NICE TO EACH OTHER and BEHAVE yourselves in this
contest
3.) No sticky caps or street lingo
4.) No use of the "f" word
5.) Have fun, be creative, and please no "junk" poetry;
by "junk" poetry, I mean, please don't throw just
ANY
lines in here and call it a poem...thanks
I guess that's all for now...start putting those creative pens to paper and let's see what you got

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on June 20, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 450, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 4 people
- Final notes: Thank you, everyone; this was another great contest. My choice for gold was actually decided upon in the fact that it touched my heart in ways I can't even put into words. My Dad was and IS a "mighty oak" to me; my hero and my best friend. He's been gone 11 years now and I still miss him tremendously. So, this piece just took my heart.
My choice for silver also touched me in the fact I'm a Mom and my children are my life; my soul. This piece spoke of a father's love for his child and warmed my heart
And my choice for bronze...
Due to a very personal reason and words of a very nature, I can't truly reveal why this one touched my heart to tears but yet, it did...thank you
To my honorable mentions, your poems touched me in ways that were very deserving of recognition...
And to all the ones who entered this contest, whether you placed or not or received an honorable mention or not, you're all winners in my eyes because you pen your hearts and souls onto the pages of life and that, in itself, is a great reward
Thank you, all poetry; thank you for the memories that I will take and cherish for a long, long time to come.
~Heavenly Angel~
