UPDATE!!! 6/11/07
I have decided to turn off the prewrites. For in the span of only hours, I have gotten only one fresh write and a good ten or so prewrites. I am glad and appreciate all the poems that I have received thus far, but I really would love for people to really think about their love for one another.
So, I haven't had a contest in a while. And I've been lagging a bit on my reading of works and poems. I, as well, have fallen in love ((or so I have come to believe I have)) with an amazing guy. He has been treating me right and has been making me feel spectacular.
So, what I would like are some rather beautiful love poems. I'm not looking for erotica nor am I looking for heart-wrenching poems about how some ass broke your heart. I am looking for deep, passionate love.
Tell me who it is you love. Is it a lost love? Maybe a grandmother you miss and still love her. Maybe you're about to get married. I don't know. Tell me your story. How they make you feel. Make me want to gush and comepletely happy reading your thoughts and words. Try to keep it to real people or pets, but if you want, tell me about your favourite teddy bear.
Requirements:
*Must have spelling checked. I am terribly sorry, but it is the biggest pet peeve of mine along with net chat.
*Please, no more than fifty lines. I would like it detailed, but please. And at least a minimum of ten lines. Who said love could be expressed in one line o.o;;
*No shitty poem that looks like it took a minute to pull out of your ass. Please excuse my language, but most poems do not come within the time of three minutes. Poems need nurturing and care ((So it sounds like you're taking care of a baby, so sue me.))
Rules:
~Cyber chat equals AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION .
~Please, please check your spelling. Although, I do know a lot of people who can spell and do make the occasional typo ((none of us are perfect, me either)). But at least try. If I see a small typo, if O, is supposed to be so or you forgot a letter, I'll tell you.
~Have. Fun. I cannot stress this enough. Poetry shouldn't be a chore but something you love to do. Something that comes almost second hand to you.
~Please try to be a better person than me and try not to use a swear in every line of poem. Plus, you really shouldn't have to if it's a LOVE poem.
Well, get to work and have the utmost of fun! <33 Lullaby.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on July 3, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 350, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: This was a wonderful contest to judge. A lot of people gave me some amazing poems and I loved and cherished, and not to mention found myself thinking of my special one while I read through them. Although I did not reply to all, I read through all of them and posted on ones that I couldn't help but comment on.
The winners did a fabuloud job and each poem was one of its own kind. There were many about loved ones and some about where you loved to be.
Congrats to the winners and special congradulations to EVERYONE who participated in the contest!!
Have fun writing and thank you all for joining!
