What would you say to the President? Tell him what you think of him! If you hate him, say so! If you think he's doing a great job, convince me. If you do not live in the U.S., write about your leader, although you are welcome to write about Bush if you want.
I pulled the inspiration from the song "Dear Mr. President" by Pink. Although the song talks negatively about the president, you do not have to. Again, if you like the president, tell me that too.
RULES:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NO EROTICA (It so does not belong here...)
NO StIcKy CaPs (it drives me nuts!)
I know that not everyone is a good speller, but please! use spell check! IT'S THERE FOR A REASON!
CUSS ALL YOU WANT!!
Please Please PLEASE try not to make it longer than 50 lines unless the lines are short. I hate having to read that much when I have a lot of other poems I have to read. Not to mention, I tend to get bored after the 20th line. Just a tip.
USE THE SPELL CHECK! I know it's already in the rules, but even so, some people entered with horrible spelling errors. SPELL CHECK IS YOUR FRIEND!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will be adding more points to the contest as I get them!
Also, I have made it so that you can enter as much as you want! But please, do not enter more than 3 times. I will find out, and if you do that, I will automatically DQ you from any other contests I may hold. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
HAVE FUN!
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 29, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 150, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 4 people
- Final notes: Thank you to all the entries! I ended the contest early because there were no new entries and I was getting bored. Anyway, most of the poems were really good! I think it's a little ironic that the poems that won gold silver and bronze are all about different leaders. Anyway, back to the rest of the poems. Those of you whose poems weren't in the finalists list either did not meet the requirements of the contest, or really pissed me off. Not meeting the requirements of the contest includes not using spell check. That rule was there for a reason, people! There was one that wasn't on the finalists list that didn't piss me off or break the rules of the contest. It simply did not convince me. Maybe that's just because I hate Bush with a firey passion and hope he dies in a very painful, slow way and then rots in hell... Sorry, my little rant. Anyway, thanks for entering everyone! It's been fun!

Dear Mr President, could you please lend me Virginia? You can have it back when I have sacked it.
-
Does it have to be "our" leader? It can't be the president of the USA? (I'm in Germany)
That's gonna be harder that writing about Bush I guess... Well, I'll try...
Good luck with your contest!

I love that song. Maybe I'll think of something.
