Now, I am a Harry Potter fanatic. I'm totally obsessed with it, so I'm gonna be very strict about choosing who wins the gold.
Here are your options
1) a poem about Harry Potter (simple, duh)
2) a poem from one of the characters' point of view (does not have to be one of the main 3)
Your poem does not HAVE to fit into those 2 categories, they are simply suggestions, mind you.
RULES

1) NO bashing HARRY POTTER (or any other characters, criteria, or JKR)
2) NO bashing other POETS
3) NO swearing
4) NO vulgar
5) NO adult content (heck, this is Harry Potter, I shouldn't even have to tell y'all that)
6) NO erotic content (again, shouldm't have to tell y'all this)
7) If it's from a specific character's perspective, put their name in the title.
8) Take this seriously (I will). If you're not obsessed with Harry Potter, don't bother with this contest, I will be disappointed.
9) Break these rules, you will get 1 warning, and if you do not correct your rule-breaking, you will be DQd. Sound fair? Good. Your "warning" (you shouldn't have to have one) will be a comment on your poem, so DON'T IGNORE COMMENTS!!
I think that's it, but you should scan over this page every now and then after your entry to make sure I haven't changed something. (I'm very fickle
)
Please note: I'm going to try to keep this contest going until the HP movie comes out. Even if I get a million entries, I'm going to try to keep it open until then (sorry, not 'till the book comes out, I have to judge it sometime).

- Final notes: Sorry it took so long to judge this, but, like most of you, I was busy reading the Deathly Hallows and such... hee hee.
Anyway, there were a lot of good writes here, and I feel it was an excellent tribute to the whole Harry Potter world. I can tell you all put in a lot of work to these writes, and if you didn't get a trophy, don't be discouraged! You all did really really well.
Big props and congratulations to the winners, they deserved it.
