Please Cheer Me Up... I'm Crying

Okay so something bad happened (if you must know, read my poem called Another Death) and I need to laugh. I want my mother to be able to read these, too, so respect Christians if you know what I mean. I don't want cussing or erotica or whatever. Be nice.

I just need cheered up. I need to smile or laugh or think about something else; just no pain, please. I don't want death. I want love, life, light. No darkness.

No prewrites, because I want something fresh. Only one entry please (I may change this later. IM me if you want me to)

This contest isn't about winning, but some people need more points to have a contest of their own (like me) so I'm giving points. This is your way of helping two people out in a time of misery and loss and mourning. someone else may also be reading these poems, so again, please be nice.

Okay, so I'm a little long winded. Sorry. The rules are all there; just not in an easy to find so skip down to the rules list. They truly are more or less guidelines, so if you miss one, oh well. I just want two adults to be able to read these and they are Christians. Respect our beliefs. I do not want anyone bashing our religion. That is the only rule that you will be DQd for if you do not follow it. I'm going on content and feeling produced.

Please have fun writing your poems.

  • Final notes:
I know, I closed it early. This contest is truly the hardest to judge. You all made some cute poems for me to read to my mother, and I thank you for entering this contest.

I closed it early, because nobody else has been entering lately. ... Darn.

The Gold Winner was Just For You...Love Sissy! Thank you for bringing "love" tears to my eyes.

The Silver Winner was Portrait of a Family. This was a very cute poem I could relate to.

The Bronze Winner was Tiny Memories. This was a very cute poem. My mom loved it.

The Honorable Mention Winner was Cheer up and smile! This was out there in its own way, and I just liked it.
