I'm just in the mood for a contest. A quickie. Will be open today, and I might extend it depending on the entries received. If I get a string of good poems, I'll likely keep it open in hopes of pulling in another such string. If I get a string of great poems, who needs more than that?
Anything you want, free verse only.
I prefer short, impactful poems, but if you can make a long piece captivating enough, then go for it.
I give honest critiques when the mood strikes, so if you offend easily or believe that writing doesn't deserve edits, then this probably isn't the place for you.
Go forth and breed words, my friends.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 5, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: Thank you so much, all of you. You've made this a fantastic contest. I've received some of the best entries I've seen in a long while, and I'm incredibly appreciative of that. The finalist list, other than the trophy winners, are in no particular order. I'm almost glad I didn't have to dish out more trophies, because deciding between the rest would've been impossible. And, with the exception of two people, you were all great sports with my comments, so thank you for that.
