Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 17, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 650, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100
- Final notes: This contest was large and full for having the word "Empty" in the title.
There were several very beautiful and well done poems in the comp. We appreciate everyone's entry and we read through them several times. The final decisions are only a measurement of opinion, so please remember that it is more important as a creative writer to value your own work first, then accept opinions only as you see fit. The poems that stand out in this contest in the final line up are refined to the point of exception, therefore are good examples of what to strive for and grow toward as a writer. The contest theme itself seemed to inspire, so for that we thank you.
Due to the volume of entries we have broken the trophy placement in half.
The first round of placements:
Nicolette - when all our doves leaves us
jaunty pill - doopleganger
Emerald13 - the pull of life
The second set of winners:
Annalise - Beyond
Rowan - When Empty Overflows
truembrace - the south garden
This final entry had to be modified due to a complaint from someone about second sets of trophies.
Thank you.
Zayra & Al

Ah, reality . . . what a minefield to walk through.
-
the image is inspiring
I may do something with that ... -
I just finished a poem and would like to place it here but it is 104 words. so... Yes or no?

There are already several entries in the contest and the rules are set.
But maybe you will either edit or find another poem inside of you to write on the same subject, or maybe a different subject. I seldom impose limitations in my contests but word count is important this time.

no problem

Beautiful, Zayra...

Reality is cool (sometimes).

-
Note on my poem: My poem, I think, can be considered reality because it is based in an altered state of conciousness: dreams. Dreams exist, and are very real, even if only a figment of our imagination, they still occur in our minds.
