I am looking for EXCELLENT poetry. Because there are so many points at stake here, I will remove pieces that have no chance of placing. If you have a weak stomach for critique, than do NOT enter.
This will be a three part (or more) piece. I want the segments to be distinctly labelled or numbered.
I would like the inclusion of self, personal moment (or moments), imagery and metaphor. I want it to be unique but not something that is so falsely contrived. If it is fake than it better convince me!
The piece must be left aligned and non-rhyming. I do not want prose and I d not want run on sentences. I will reserve my right to comment or not comment, if you are going to get annoyed if I do NOT comment, do NOT enter.

This is perfect.
If this is still open by the time I write something, I'll enter.
I've lost my soul in the metaphors lately, and just last week I found myself in the poems.. they've all been personal.
It's weird. All my metaphor poems have been personal, but I mean, lately I have been really being open- and real, and straightforward (and subtle)
Yeah. So this is great. Your contests seem to pop up at the right times.

Excellent. It will be open for a few days, I want top notch entries.

You're gonna get it.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooo entering! Amazing my AP love, amazing.

You astound me with your wonderful contests. Though I must say I miss your 15 minute quickies from over my winter break.

-
Aww, amazing AP love. You win the gold.

*sighs* I've so been having trouble writing lately, so I don't know if I'll be able to... but hopefully I can come back...

You just haven't seen my sexy hair recently. It would so ignite your muse. ^_^
-
-
oh yes, that's most definitely it. Right now my muse is drenched from what the weather outside is doing to my own hair... yes, what I really need is for your "sexy hair" to set my muse afire...
(you and your hair...
)

-
Nate's right, you just haven't seen his sexy hair apparently.

unfortunately this week I have to write two rhyming metered poems for school (*barfs*) so I don't know how much time I'll have to attempt anything decent... but know that you're bookmarked and will see if I can do anything for you here...

I actually only removed one because they blatantly disobeyed the rules -
this will be open for a few more days.

i have the perfect poem for this contest, except for the fact that there is some rhyme and it's a prewrite...
-
Good luck to all, my gears are still rusty and I will refrain till I am in better standing : P
-
Still trying to come up with something for this. If I forget to enter on time, forgive me. So much going on lately.
Great concept.
-
I am going to work on this tonight. Give it much attention. I feel at this point in my life, it would do me well to write it. It would help me understand how far I've come.
Love ya.
-
it is unlikely I will enter so late in the contest...too much real life work and keeps me from the land of poetry play...but this was an excellent line up of poems and I enjoyed reading them.
-
Sorry sweetie, but things have been happening left and right. I probably won't get in on this one.
-
Thank you for hosting a great contest, Melissa...Congratulations to Kimmie, Richard & Meli, as well as the other amazing entrants...Be well, Poets & Scribes...
