This is a milestone for me....200th contest. I have written all my life, yet, I am still a green poet trying to force poems out of budding thoughts.
the greatest poem in the world is yet to be written, why else would we continue to delve into delicious dreams to pull out words, phrases, stanzas to harvest that next best one?
Much has been written about writing poetry...but here is your chance to stand on the brow of paper and pen one more without becoming cliche.
How far can you take these statements I have just made and move them into the metaphor of being a "green" poet?
The poem that wins will be the one who speaks to this contest in a new voice, a new way, and makes us all turn green with envy that such a Muse would unfurl itself into such blossoming potential.

Wonderful concept, Carol - and congratulations on this milestone, my friend. But you're always so "quick"... I need some time to unfurl a poem from the leaves of my pen!!
