reborn

Well, well well!

This is my very first contest on AP and I am asking for quality writes here.

The prompt is based on the picture 'reborn' and I want decent writes about what this makes you think.
I am not a fan of religious poetry- so think beyond that limited avenue...
What would you like to be if given a chance to be reborn?
Take it from there.

10-20 lines only! (less or more accepted but not excessive, please!)

No immediate entries as this contest is for two weeks and has space for forty entries IE- put a bit of thought into it!

I enjoy metaphor- but not just for the sake of it-

IE- do not write me a load of nonsense strung together that means jack...

RULES:

no rubbish, please- well thought out poetry is required

no poems about cutting etc as the prompt does not suggest this

no rubbish chat/ texty writing

no typos, check grammar

ten to twenty lines only!

freeverse is best- but rhyme if you want

I reserve the right to take pieces out if they don't meet my criteria

no whining- no nastiness- play nice- comment on each others entries if you have time

AND! try to keep this anonymous..........

EXTENDED 'TILL MAY 8th!

Also allowing pre-writes now- very disappointed with the amount of entries.
Sooooo- pre-writes or fresh on rebirth.

Thank you all so much for the wonderful entries. I found this so difficult to judge as my heart has been broken in two lately.
All of your works spoke to me in different ways.
The final four touched me the most.

Please do!- I forgot to add in the rules that I don't want any 'earnest bookmarkers' in the comments section.
You either submit an entry, or you don't...I am not a fan of empty promises!!
