This is my first contest and it's for lost love, rhymers only. I want you to tell me how much it hurts to have lost the love of your life. I want to feel the pain through your words. Maybe you left them and regret it, maybe they left you, maybe they passed on...just let me feel your hurt.
Automatic DQ for...
Non-rhyme
tHiS KInd oF TyPIng
excesive profanity ( if you can't write without saying "F you" then you're not a writer anyhow)
I want good poetry here.
Make it flow like water and watch out for forced rhyme.
Spellcheck your entries but I won't be a stickler on minor errors.
I might award extra points if a submission really knocks my socks off.
That's about it so good luck.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 6, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 300, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 6 people
- Final notes: I had to end this contest a little early but I don't think more submissions or more time would have made a difference in my decision. Let me say this to all of you who entered. The heartbreak in each and every write made this very difficult to pick trophy winners and if it were possible I would have given you all gold just for the pain you had to endure. In the end I had to go with the poetry that touched my heart the most. There were no losers in this contest as all entries were expertly written by real, true POETS. I thank you all and God bless.

woops. remove mine titled 'Diary of a Fat Girl' please -- I missed the note on rhyme up top.
Sorry.

can we enter a poem about someone who's about to die?
-
LOL ... I missed this one. I would surely have entered something if I'd seen it. I can't believe it's taken me a year to see it. Rhyme is my favorite. So sorry I missed it but then, I would have had to decide which lost love to write about
