Okay, I thought this would be an easy contest, but not many of you have entered, so I am turning this first round into an options contest. I have enough points now that I decided to do a rounds contest. The first round will be fairly easy and they will get harder as we go along.
OLD OPTIONS
option #1
I simply want you to read one of my poems, comment on it, and model one of yours after it. This can mean in style, subject, or rhyme scheme. Put in your suthor's comments the poem of mine you used. NO PRE-WRITES FOR THIS OTION!
option #2
Write a poem and dedicate it to either your best friend or your role model. NOT a boyfriend/girlfriend. Put in your author's comments who you wrote it for.

Write a poem about your favourite season. Any length, any style, but I want something directly realting to a season and not something that happened to you one season.
option #4
Write a poem about your favourite TV show or movie. Make me want to watch it. Once again, any length and any style.
option #5
Write a poem about your favourite place to write. Describe the setting nicely. I am looking for great imagery. Don't talk about anything other than what the place is like and how you feel when you write there.
If you don't follow the rules, I will give you one day to fix the problem after I comment on it and politely let you know to re-read the rules. If you decided to edit it, let me know within that one day. If you don't want to, please remove your poem from my contest. I'm sorry to sound so mean, but I am sick and tired of people violating the rules. You will be allowed in the next round if you make it into the finalists of this round. I will put all the poems that I enjoy in the finalists.

- Final notes: I really enjoyed this contest and am so excited about the second round. Although when I commented on some peoples poems I put *finalist* in the box, I didn't remember for all of the finalists, so please check to see if you are in the list. The first several poems are in order, but after that, I got so confused that they're not really. I loved all of the finalists, but a special congrats to the winners! For the second round, I need to know who you are to make sure no one is trying to sneek in, so please message me if you were a finalist to tell me what you screen name is and the title of the poem you wrote. I will check on your page to make sure that is true. Sorry if this seems like a lot of trouble, but I have to do it this way. I will be posting the second round some time today, so check my page for it soon. I hope to get 25 entries in the second round, so I will keep it open as long as possible for all finalists to get a chance to enter. Thanks for entering everyone! Just to clarify again, the 25 finalists from this round are the ones who can enter the second round.
