Hi Brilliant Poets
I live in the light
I want to take a peek into the darkness...
Please read these specifications carefully!
I do not write dark well, but I know poets who do, and I know what I like...and don't like.
I am looking for poetry that explores the other side of light ...
things of suspense, or angst nature, sadness, depression, dark romance, etc.
I DO NOT WANT: gore, cutting, suicide, abuse, erotica or excessive profanity...
If your poem is of this nature , it will be removed without notice...
I am a fan of both free verse and rhyme equally (if done well)...
Here are some pictures to inspire you...
(You do not have to use them ...Just to inspire)

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on March 30, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 5 people
- Final notes: hi Brillant poets!
This contest was very different and very difficult to judge!
There were many different types of dark poetry and I had a lot of fun reading all of your entries!
I chose the 3 which affected me the most, and chose 5 HM as well which made the choices very difficult
Please know that you all deserve a trophy for your outstanding poetry, but alas, I am not "point wealthy"
Please check out my future contests....! I have 2 more curently running!
Congrats to everyone for doing your best!!!
Lynda

To me darkness is vampiric. So yes this is a reluctant turning of a woman, seduced by the darkness/badboy syndrome. But she tries very hardby trmcbrid 41 lines, 1 comment, on Mar 26 10:53 AM 2007• Commented on by judge.

Umm Lynda
To write great dark poetry...all you need do...is lock yourself in a dark closet and think about all the things you were afraid to think of in the light...now let your imaginations run away with your thoughts.......Ha ha.....if you can.....
