Lately I've been feeling kinda down b/c I've fallen prey to Satan's temptation again and again and I can't seem to stop!(Poetic Truth knows what I'm talking about! I seem to be bound by a lustful spirit that I just can't shake. So, my question is this: What are your veiws on...*gulps* masturbation/sex before marriage?

1) NO ADULT CONTENT!! I'm already dealing w/ my flesh, that'll only make it worse!

I'm a Christian, but I don't think there's anything wrong with either of those. It's completely natural. God gave us those urges for a reason. The only time it is really wrong is when you force yourself on another person. It's nothing to be ashamed about. It's completely natural. And do you honestly think that all preachers and Christians haven't had sex before marriage. Well, that's just my opinion. I would write a poem for you, but this is really my style, just thought I'd take a look. Good luck.

Besides the bible wasn't written till the 2nd centuary - and it was decided on by a roman council - who picked and chose what they wanted in it and it was that council that decided jesus was immortal blah blah
Anyway you are being very narrowminded - there are infinite possibilities - open your mind!!!!
And btw i was born roman catholic - baptised at 3 wks old - first confession and communion at 6 - confirmed at 11 - i do know something about christianity - it just wasn't for me but im not gonna turn around and bash ppl for having a different view of things
Believe in the bible if you want - just know that there are some who do not - and that is ok too, so you can spout scripture and tell us we are all gonna burn in hell but your talkin to someone who believes 100 percent that hell is a fairy tale!

I agree with part of your comment Kahliya. Tolerance is important in the world that we live in with all it's different views and whatnot. However, tolerance of sin is not something that God ever intended. Sin is black and white. Truth is not negotiable. Open-mindedness, yes, it's important, but listening to an idea and accepting it are two very different things.
As far as your information on the Bible, when it was written and the Roman influence on Jesus's immortality and the contents of the Bible, I think you should double-check what you are saying. The Bible was written before the 2nd century, it's contents were NOT decided by a Roman council, and Jesus's immortality was not a question. Please feel free to talk to me more about this if you feel the need. I have some resources that I would share with you if you want more information on this. (btw, the resources are not all just Christian authors trying to support their beliefs).
Personally, I am a Christian. I congratulate Woman of God for having a contest about such a difficult topic. However, if you are going to have the contest, you have to be prepared for both sides of the arguement. If you don't find what you're looking for here, remember that the only certain source of truth you have is the Bible. God's word is truth and will never let you down. Good luck with your contest, and your struggle. Live in HIS grace.

As regards to the bible - my best friend aila has a bachelors degree in theology and philosphy (with honours) - therefore my sources in this area are world renowned and universally accepted by theological scholars and i believe that you should perhaps check your information - and as far as sin goes i dont think anything that makes someone happy as long as its not hurting anyone else is wrong - but thats logic if you belileve in god then i guess thats something you have to suspend - me i'm more scientific - but there
Just so you know - if you need to check this out - The council of rome, the second council of rome and the council of constantinople - there are many books written on all of these - and it is accepted that the earliest biblical cannon comes from the council of rome around 365 ad

What i dont understand though and i know a lot of you think that its not true but have any of you actually ever read any of the other bibles out there by any other religion? ever even try? How about study all the ancient religions from before christ ... now lets think. Christ was born of a Virgin, right? and so was Hercules, right? As well as in Egyptian, Roman, and Norse Mythology which was written way before the time of christ, right? Now, in every mythological story the mothers all left their home to save their son, right? And they all arrived on a 4 legged beast.. They all had people bring them gifts and THEY ALL TRIED TO HELP EVERYONE FROM DAMNATION! A long time ago the religion was Paganism which i dont disagree with at all in this time its Christianity because people dont look past everyone else to find out the truth.

I dooo soooooo know what u mean! I have the same temptations that u do. I don't think it's a lustful spirit tho. I think it's simply ur flesh calling.
I'll be 25 yrs old in May and still walking God's way I believe that my body is sacred, as is love. And I'm living proof that waiting is a good thing. A man who has self control, patience and love can wait. Becasue he knows that he'll marry you if he loves u. Waiting therefore isn't a problem. I found one of them.
No matter what other ppl tell u, u have to live ur life so that it brings u piece of conscience, mind and heart.

I was looking through here and can relate but i see that in one of the entries is a poem written by the contest holder, Hmm is there a reason for this or what?? Is it soemthing relevent to how we are suppose to write? Hey im just asking. This is a great contest and am wanting to partcipate, Im going to strip my church clothes and get into something more relaxed and type away.
