"Faery Reflection" by Kinuko Y. Craft
This is the first contest I've done here. Nature Song's work and her children's collection are the inspiration and this contest itself is a sort of tribute from me to her. Writes can range from faeries and elves, swords and sorcery, to the simple magic of nature. Let your imagination flow and please keep it PG, or better yet- rated E for Everyone.
Our Thanks,
Slyder
Added March,7th: A personal request that you list "Children's" as a category for your poems. This is NOT required, and will have no effect on judging. It just supports the spirit and intent of the contest- and I'd like these to show up for (and hopefully be read and commented by) the younger members.
All entries will reflect the idea of the contest title, in setting, or context.
All entries will be fit for children to read, so no swearing, cutting, excessive gore, etc.
No sTicKY cAPs.
No chat lingo.
No prewrites.
Also one final note: After you have read these rules
please type the word 'Silva Magus' in your author's note, otherwise you poem will be emilinated.
Final Notes:
This was a very enjoyable contest to host and judge. My thanks to my AP wife, Nature Song, for her encouragement and for letting me help in it. The entries weren't easy to judge, but here's how it turned out:
1st place - Dance of Amber Light
2nd place - Spells Of Tomorrow!
3rd place - Fey Banquet
Honorable mentions go to Tread Softly for its style, to The Enchanted Princess for its interpretation of the graphic, to Once Upon A Time... for its humor(still chuckling), and The enchanted forest for its descriptive beauty. Our congratulations and gratitude to you all.

Thank you so much for the bronze

Thank you so much for the HM, Nature and Sly! This was the first "fairy"-themed write I have ever attempted, so from hereon I'll have both you to blame for that initial inspiration!

Blame?
I divert any blame entirely to your own sense of humor. Here's to you- keeping it light & keeping it real! Thanks again Jo, for a delightful contribution.
