Hello and welcome all to my second contest!
If you were in my first contest you will know that this is a big departure from that.
Ok so below i have for pictures that are all original art. They are modern art, and have a fragmented approach in their delivery.
Ok so basically what i want is a poem based on these pieces. It dosen't have to be one imparticular it could be one or two or even all four may have inspired you. Either way its fine.
Due to the nature of the pictures this will really stretch your poetic skills. On first look they may not be obvious and will require looking beyond what is first seen. The title of the work will be very important as gaining insight into what the picture is saying.
Your welcome to download the pictures for further inspection.
I would prefer no more than three entries at the very most per person, i have no way of enforcing this and i will trust you all.
There is no restriction on the form of the poem, however you must think carefully about which form would represent the picture appropriatly.
I would also prefer you write in your authors notes which picture(s) you used as inspiration.
Thank you for reading this and here below are the links for the pictures.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 28, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Hello and thank you firstly for entering this contest, and for the most of you, being paitent enough to wait for the judging.
My plan was to give really detailed analysis of each poem, which some of you got, however others have being really pestering me to judge this contest. Coupled with crippling schoolwork, i have decided just to judge this now. I apologize for not being able to give you the appropriate analysis which all these pieces deserved. But those people who did pester me are really to blame, but shall name no names.
The finalists were the poems that were crafted and began to understand the actual art itself.
However i was genuinly offended by one piece, something like 'farce' painting or equally unwitty in its quip, that was designed and did directly attack my art, and therefore myself. i dont know who did this as it was anonymous. But i also think it was the same person as the silver medalist, which for me tainted this judging.
Again i apologize for the very long delay in judging this, in part i wanted to give the full monty, but in part i was slightly dragging my feet.
it was a demanding ask for a contest. and im glad you all had a crack at it, with varying results.
Thank you,
Norman 'Red Brick' Crabtree.

Well considering the modern form I guess I will have to enter a poem with a flair of subconscious colour *winks* you will see...
