I like holding contests, and I prefer options, so I give you options. Great, right?
Option 1.
Write a poem inspired by Greek/Roman mythology, or any mythology at all.
Option 2.
Write a poem inspired by Harry Potter or King Arthur or Frodo.
Option 3.
Write a poem about Canada, or any other foreign country. Either a place you loved or the feel of a country that isn't the United States, but please no political drama.
Option 4.
Write a limerick about your favorite book, can be more than one verse. Extra points if you can make a sad book into a funny limerick, or a funny book into a sad limerick.
Option 5.
Write about an experiance that changed your life, giving details about before the change and after.
Option 6.
Write a poem about the origin of computers. Yes, I am serious. I must please the geeks (like me) somehow.
Option 7.
Write a poetic definition of any of these words-
Balaclava
Ear Muff
Epidermis
Volcano
---
Please try not to flock over to one option, because that makes judging very boring. I hope to get poems that are inspiring and/or powerfully emotionally. Please no STICKY CAPS or AlTeRnAtInG things going on, no erotica or cussing, and I must say I prefer shorter poems to longer ones, unless it has a good cadence to it. Please do your best to please me, and I assure you this can be fun.

I have never won both gold and silver before in any contest. I am overwhelmed. I was going to submit a poem in the "foreign country" category but the contest ended before I could get it down. Just as well perhaps. Many many thanks.
