This is my fourth contest! Yayyy!
Yeah. I don't think anyone really cared about that. Oh, well.
I want you to write anything. Yes, anything. To a point. That's why I have rules. But those come later. Hang in there, folks!
The point is, although the gold does get 300 points, what they mainly get is a place in my favorites. Not in my AP family, in my favorites. That means that, along with a trophy and 300 points, you will get a comment and possibly applause from me on pretty much every one of your poems. Cause that's how I do.
That is NOT to say that people who do not win gold will not get on my favorites. If I really like a poet who's in the finalists, I just may add them to my favorites too. However, only gold gets points.
And now, the beloved rules!!
~People already on my favorites obviously cannot enter. I want someone NEW on my favorites.
~I do not have to keep you on my favorites after the contest. There is a 99% guarantee that I will, but I'm just saying that I am under no obligation to. But, really, if I like you enough to give you 300 of my points, you'll probably stay on my favorites.
~You know all those general rules, like no sticky caps, no cutting, no dark, no suicide, no erotica? Screw them. Do whatever the hell you want. Because in the end, it's my judgment as to what happens, so I can just DQ you if I don't like your poem.
~Try to enter good stuff. I don't want crap. I want GOOD poems. Of course, that's all opinion.
~I'm not going to ask you to put a phrase in to see if you've read the rules. Cause really, since my rules don't really say much, it's just your fault if you didn't read them.
~I won't be doing honorable mentions.
~I'm not doing pre-writes because I want something new. Simple as that.
~I'm only letting you enter one time so that I don't get all confused. Like, if I like one of your poems but not another, what would I do? That's just me.
~Have fun! I know that's cliched, but it is for a reason. You should be writing a poem because you want to and like writing, not just for the points/trophy/spot on my favorites.

I was so pleased with the finalists that ALL SIX FINALISTS ARE GOING TO BE ON MY FAVORITES!!! Yes, I'm slightly crazy and have way too much time on my hands. But that's GOOD for all of you, right?
