Blaspheme

Alright. I want you to blaspheme. I want you to write the most utterly offensive things you can, about any religion you so choose to bash. Don't mention anyone's name, real-life, or here on Allpoetry. Don't bash a specific person, or race, only the religion its self, and a hypothetical "person" who would believe in it. You may bash fictitious peoples within the religion, such as god, Jesus, Buhda.. you know...deities or otherwise...

Rules:

1. any piece having anything to say, about ANY religion in the positive sense will be disqualified, i only want negative media here people.

2. If you're a believer in the religion you blaspheme,
I will award you at least an honorable mention, because
I know it's hard to work outside of your comfort zone,
I'm an actor.

3. any comments on this contest that bash me or the idea i'm working with here, will be ignored, and deleted... I could care less.. but then i'd have to try harder not to care...

4. no sticky caps, or misspelling, unless it's stated in your author's notes as an intentional misspelling, or misuse of grammar.. also no chat talk...

5. The more logical you are about it, and the smarter you seem to me, the more likely it is you'll win this contest, i want valid reasons for the blaspheming.

6. have fun, and don't bash anyone elses work.

I don't exactly know why people are bashing this idea so much. I know your basicly saying talk vulgar about religons but I think it's a great idea, I mean I love the idea of sharing my thoughts on Christianity with other people in a beautiful form of writing. Now I'm asking myself why I didn't think of this.

I am going to admit, the first time I read this contest I was really turned off by it, but I read it again and as a Christian I can think of a ton of things that other Christians do on a daily basis that fit right into this contest idea. ( I am not acknowledging that I am proud to say that by no means, just being honest about it ) Now as to rather or not I will enter, well I don't yet know the answer to that quite yet, it will depend on how well I can phrase what it is I wish to say, if I find I am able to step outside my comfort zone and produce something half way decent then I will enter. I think you will get alot of negative comments about this contest, but I also think you will be surprised by the number of believers who will look beyond their initial reaction and see that there is much to be said that will fit into this without going against their beliefs.
I am very curious of the entries this draws and will certainly be checking back in from time to time to read them.

hope people try and ask why religions do what they do and not bash it out of lack of knowledge on the subject, alot of things may seem stupid to one person until they find out all the facts on the matter, then it may not be so stupid afterall, and they end up looking like the stupid one in the end.

I think that this is an awesome idea for a contest. I personally find it to be a celebration of our own God given rights (please excuse the poetic irony) to express our objections to any views imposed upon us by those of lesser intelligence.
