Kari is in the hospital after undergoing surgery. It'll be a three day stay and I thought it would be nice for her to come home to some cool poetry and well wishes written just for her.
The contest will end on the 11th so no time to waste 
Kari is my AP granddaughter and when she hurts, I hurt so I'd love to see her happy and forgetting her pain when she gets home. Your thoughtfulness and words of caring will go a long way towards that end
Points may change so be sure to check back from time to time. There will be plenty of Honorable Mentions and each one will receive an extra 20 points, bringing the total points for HM to 50 instead of the normal 30. Everyone except the top three trophy winners will receive HMs
You all know how to conduct yourself in a contest so I wont give any rules except one... maybe two
1. Make this special for Kari... she works hard on the site for all of us and deserves sincerity and respect.
2. Make it funny, serious, a little bit spicey (a tiny bit but not adult only), pretty much whatever you feel, as long as it's positive.
There ya are, go for it... and it wouldn't hurt to check back from time to time to see if anything has changed.
Remember, you have only three days... and oh yeah, I'm going to ask Kari to pick the winners if she's feeling up to it so figure on a slight delay in the final judging... maybe just a few days after closing.
I've extended the closing date an extra day because Kari wont be back for another couple of days.
I'm loving the outpouring of love and thoughtfulness from all who have entered and from those who left comments.

what she go into surgery for?
I just got out of a day surgery after having my tubes tied. Im still trying to recover...lifting baby with a belly button full of stitches and having tiny little knees bonking into them doesnt help the process of healing
Strange how such a small cut can hurt so much...kind of like papercuts...Ive never understood how something that tiny can make me winch so badly (ok...so I swear sometimes too.
lol but thats not the point. bwahahahaha)

I heard this morning that my gran broke her hip and last year, when she broke the other hip there were lots of difficulties to get her kidneys back working... and the doctor already warned us that maybe this time she won't get through this

OMG, leander. That's terrible news about your gran, but hopefully this time it wont be so bad.
Here's hoping you'll have time to write something for Kari, but if you don't we'll all understand. Kari knows you love her just as the rest of us do

First of all..I want to say a big thank you to everyone for this , the ones that donated points, the ones that wrote, and the ones that left comments...you all just have NO idea how much it means to me...
The surgery had complications. The cyst was attached in three spots and they had to cut me open twice and of course the places seem to be on the opposite sides of each other not really helping much
Anyway..They think that the complications I had after the surgery ( extremly low blood pressure and other stuff ) was from medications. All test for clots, cancer, and everything like that came back negative (YEAHH!!!) I can't tonight but soon I will read each poem and comment..thank you all sooo much..
I love you all and Granna...thank you for everything...you all are the best family anyone could EVER ask for I so appreciate the support, and calls from EVERYONE..
