I have been away for quite a while, so I felt like hosting a contest as I haven't held one for some time.
Rules first so you know what I want and can then decide if you wish to enter or not.
1. AS THIS IS A BLIND CONTEST - DO NOT USE NAMES OR REPLY TO COMMENTS IN ORDER TO KEEP IT FAIR UNTIL CONTEST CLOSES. (if you absolutely must respond to a friends comment do so in an im please).
2. Do not bash any other entrants poem, doing so will result in yours being DQ'D.
3. Use general language not cursing as we may have junior entrants. Text must be able to be read on background without the need to be highlighted or it will be removed.
4. 1 ENTRY PER POET ONLY.
5. Try to keep poems between 10 and 40 lines.
6. Rhyme is not necessary but if you absolutely must, do not make it forced, as that is one of my pet peeves.
Ok, now to your 4 options (make certain option chosen clearly stated in author comment box)
1. Write something about the mysteries of The Bermuda Triangle (either in general or a specific story of interest to you).
2. I have long been intrigued by the mystery of the deserted ship "Mary Celeste", write something about this or another abandoned ship adrift on the sea.
3. Write about that certain someone you have been keen on for some time yet continues to remain aloof. (Please use this option to either explain what it is about them that intrigues you or the reasons why they remain distant).
4. Anything else you consider mysterious (eg: an unsolved crime / ghost story etc).
Get your pens flowing, I will leave form and style up to your own creativity.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on February 18, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 80
- Final notes: Thank you all for taking the time to enter this contest, It was not at all the response rate I had hoped for, perhaps it was just too different to satisfy the majority of the creative minds on AP. I was intending to give out HM's but due to the lack of entries I will save the points toward another contest. Congratulations to the winners, again thanks so much to all that participated.

Thank You
Thanks for your comment, I hope to find that you submitted an entry as it would be welcome. I was hoping to be different to many other contest concepts that are around at the moment. Ps: if u like looking for new backgrounds, plz check out the lists of borders I have created on my author page or join my group "border junkies almost anonymous"

Hey hon.. thanks for silver!!! I was hopeing you liked that.. It took me quite a long time to do.. cuz I had to research it and all that.. and I actually rewrote it.. cuz at first it rhymed..LOL..Anyhow.. this was an interesting contest and I do think your mind functions differently than most on this site.. thus why you only got 8 entries.. but I enjoyed writing for it.. so good job with it!!

Love,
