Yes, well... haven't done one of these in a while. So I decided I'd do one... that and I'm on my way to making someone a poet. XD
Well, why don't we start with the rules instead of the options this time, hmm?
~Please, no chat lingo, it really bugs me.
~No sticky caps... if you have no clue what that is, good for you!!
~Please use spell check, that's what it's there for. Not to make the site look pretty.
~Enter the letter of your option in your author's comments. I'll check and will tell you once. Automatic DQ if it's not done when I'm judging.
~Please, no other weird things to make your poem look unappealing. Make sure I can read it easily. I will ask you once to change the font colour/background to make it easier to read (I'm basically blind and can't see that well.) and if you don't, I'll make it easy on myself and just disqualify your ass, no matter if it's the best poem on the planet. If it's unaccesable to read, I won't stand for it.
~Profanity is allowed, but, please, only if it fits the structure to the poem.
~Erotica is allowed, but please, make it tasteful. Nothing too... tactful... er... you get what I mean... I hope.
~I'd like to see a lot of new writes. So please limit the amount of pre-writes. I won't get rid of any, it's just hopful wishing on my part.
~The most important rule is to have fun.
:: Options ::
A. I'm not particularly fond of Valentine's Day, but write me a piece about someone you're fond of and would love to spend the day with.
B. A friend's birthday is coming up and I really don't have anything to give him (save for my love). Write him a piece and I shall share it with him.
C. Feeling down a bit? Maybe you could write a poem about how you're feeling, be it hurt, betrayl, pain, anxiety...
D. This is one of my more favourite options. I've used this a lot on my other options contests. Please use all the words in a list.
List A:

It can have nothing to do with the song... just what it makes you think of.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on February 5, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Congradulations to the winners. The contest was a fairly difficult one to judge. I do believe that the winners worked very hard on their poems. And they definitely get a round of applause. Everyone else who entered the contest, kudos to you as well.
Why the winners won:
Heartfelt Request: The poem showed true emotion and almost made me cry. The poem was smooth to the eyes and it had a wonderful rhyme scheme.
Which Way: This poet brought upon their own emotion as well, asking themselves where their destiny shall lie. Even I think of what paths in life I should take. And in the end, there are consequences for the wrong paths we chose. It was really good and I really liked it.
The Slave of Nightmares: This one was different to the others. The poet used imagery and I found the topic rather appealing.
As for Shadow: My love liked this one a lot. I wasn't too fond of it myself, but I did like it to a point.
Congrats again to the winner, Ashleigh
- To judge this contest, you need to have at least as many finalists as you have rewards. You have 4 awards but only 2 finalists.

There's a place where it says 'enter a new poem' or 'enter a prewritten poem.' ^_^
-
-
Ummm
So you can enter whatever you want, right? Even though there's options? Or does it have to fit with an option? -
Hey, where's the author comment?
Anyway, Wait & See--Option "C". -
Merry meet,
I have a question regarding the word lists.
Can you use more than one and if so do you want all the words in each list used (read overachiver here)?
This sounds like an interesting contest.
