I have some points to get rid of here guys!!
And, I'm looking to add a few new names to my list of favs, as well. Couldn't think of a better way to do that than a contest. So, here goes.....
This contest is INVITE ONLY to the following poets:

Okay...The Dreaded Rules: (no whining!)
Because there are so many wonderful poets listed up there, would you please be so kind as to limit your poems to 25 lines or less. If you simply CAN'T, IM me with how many lines you end up with, and I'll let you know if my "widdle bwain" can handle it or not. LOL!
Use a solid color, or a non-distracting background for your poems. Your work should be the art here...not the backgrounds.
You "Gold" guys...please make sure the fonts are readable. I'm old, dammit. Have mercy on my eyes!
Feel free to copy the picture to your page.
Left align.
Watch the spelling, word economy, and punctuation (if you use it). I'm a poet who can't survive without spellcheck, myself!
No sticky caps (we're all adults here, are we not?)
No cutting or suicide (though I can't see where this picture would solicit that response)
Last, and MOST important....HAVE FUN WITH IT!
I am a big fan of both imagery, and good use of metaphor, as well as the rest of that wonderful figurative language out there waiting to be plucked and utilized. Go For It!
Though it's not a contest requirement, it's only courteous to comment on a few of the other entries in the contest. Whether you do or not will NOT effect how I judge this contest. It's just a nice thing to do.
I can't wait to see what this picture inspires in all of you! I look forward to each entry with GREAT anticipation...and a good dose of envy! LOL!

- Final notes: OMG!!! Talk about a tough one to judge!!! Every one of these entries is absolutely gorgeous. I am so very pleased with what this picture evoked from each and every one of you. It was such a pleasure to read all of these works of word art. I had such a hard time judging. I can't tell you how many times I had to change and re-order my "list!" The screams could probably be heard on the other side of the world!! I want to thank each of you for the obvious time and effort you put into these beautiful poems for this contest.
