~Love Me Tender~

Hello beautiful poets! Ordinarily I'm not much one for the mushy, gooey, sappy, corny love poem, but since it's almost Valentine's Day, I'm in the mood for words of love. I want beautiful and expressive love poetry for me and my man to read together. I will allow pre-writes but I encourage you to produce a fresh write.

~I want imagery.
*
*
*
~I want romance.
*
*
*
~I want sensory stimulation.
*
*
*
~I want creativity.
*
*
*
~I want sincerity.

Give me the words that explain the feeling of true love between a man and a woman.

Rules:

1.) I will allow pre-writes, but only one per poet, and don't make me regret it!
2.) Erotica is fine, but make it romantic, not just sexual.
3.) Profanity is NOT allowed, it's not necessary.
4.) ABSOLUTELY no bashing of other entrants or you will be immediately DQ.

6.) Use spellcheck!
7.) Any style poetry is accepted.

This contest ends February 14, Valentine's Day! I will comment on every entry. I judge fairly and promptly.

~Lori

Thank you very much for hosting & for the gold trophy & points, Lori; I'm quite pleased you enjoyed it so much...Congratulations, one & all...Well done, Poets...How unusual that AP chose today to share the following quotation, ehhh??? Be well, Poets... Wanda

"When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two, and I know it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before." - Jacob Riis
