OK, peoples! I've got points to spend!!! Here goes!! I've tried to make this somewhat challenging...and I'm throwing out a twist!! Only five ppl can do each option, and I will post who's done each one! There's only five slots per option, so enter before it's taken!!
Challenge Number One) Poodles- too much bashing of poodles exists in our society!!! Give me something from a poodle's standpoint on seeing itself as one of those froofy decals on someone's purse...or better yet, sing me the praises of the poodle.
Billbard
Challenge Number Two) Latin- I love Latin and can read(with a little help from a dictionary) almost anything in Latin. SITW and Artemis Gem will testify to this. So, here's your challenge, all you Latin-landers!!! (Can't wait to see AG's face when she reads that!! ) Write me a short poem (less than 20 lines) ENTIRELY in Latin!!! Translations would be helpful, because, even though I can read Latin, I don't have hours to devote to AP. I can also smoke out you Microsoft Word translator people, so please don't go there! I HATE removing poems from my contests!!
LittleAnn
Challenge Number Three) Greek mythology- I am an expert on Greek mythology. I am tired of being the only one who knows anything about it and would like to see some lovely writes on mythology. FOR THIS CHALLENGE ONLY, repeat ONLY ONLY ONLY are you allowed to enter a prewrite. But it's gotta be good. And please, don't make it one of those Apollo-chasing-pretty-girls-and-raping-them things. I get sick of that in mythology. Please, gods, go get hitched or something.
blackwit
Tirrell
Orual
Lace Nightmare
Challenge Number Four) Sports- I am an avid basketball player and an aspiring sailor(420s, for those interested.) This option will have ten slots open, five for each sport. Note on basketball: no pros, please. I don't like the pros, as they are terrible role models and the basketball is for money. Stick to college or high school level ball, please.
Challenge Number Five) Titles- here are some titles. Here's your challenge. Write me a poem NO LONGER THAN FIVE LINES using a title.
Shivering Determinedly
Tanager Forest
{[(0)]}
Fly Me Higher
Challenge Number Six) Poems- Rewrite a Stephen Crane poem! Here's your format:
A man said to the universe,
"Sir, I exist!"
What does the universe say in reply? here's mine:
A man said to the universe,
"Sir, I exist!"
"OK," said the universe,
"so sit down and shut up!"
so quip the universe with some fun line!!
Bonus Challenge) THIS. IS. COMPLETELY. OPTIONAL. People think I'm soliciting reads, and I assure you I'm not. That's why this is optional. Write about my story for brownie points in my book. again, completely optional, but this challenge has unlimited entries and it counts as one entry, if you make it!!
More challenges as they come...!
Rules:
1. Please no sex, swearing, bashing God, etc. I ama Christian(if that's not obvious!! Keep it G, PG at the absolute most.
2. You can enter as much as you like. Cheer for Chibi!!
3. I don't care what form you write in, so long as it's good. Rhyme and freeverse are great with me.
4. Remember, pre-writes only for Greek mythology.
5. Please keep it relevant to your topic.
6. Oh, yeah- put your name in the ACs so I can fill a slot with your name, please

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on February 7, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100
- Final notes: Chibi ended the challenge with flying colors!!! Each entry was excellent, and some I could not leave a comment on because I did not have the words!! Amazing!!!
I made a mistake and fogot to update the Grek mythology option; thus, there were too many entries in that category. But they were all great!!!
Only one person entered option one; they won the [imaginary] trophy for first place in that catergory. Excellent job, Billbard!!
Latin option: two entries!! I am sure more ppl on AP know Latin than just two(besides me), but the ones I received were fantastic! Praise goes to Khadidja(sp?) the Wise for her amazing and moving poem and LittleAnn takes second with her ground-breaking first-ever Latin poem!! Let the earth thunder with your applause! And don't serve dormice at the party! Hmm, scuse me...
Greek Option: Orual flew trailing clouds of glory with her gold-winning poem. The meter and rhythm to this was fantastic! I loved every bit of it. The other finalist(I apologize, there were so many entries I couldn't keep names straight...pls forgive) did an excellent job, thrusting Posideon into my face just as if I were forced into the sea.
None of my other options were taken.
Congrats to everyone and to the winners!!! And please stay on the watch for another Chibi Chaaaaallllleeeeeeennnnnggggggeeeeeeeee!!!!!!

if you want to know the authors' names change the settings of the contest, you have to consider that some pieces are entered in other contests too, so they have to remain anonymous.
good luck with your cont! -
Congrats to the winners and thank you for liking my poem! (If you're doing a contest like this again in the future, tell me!
)
Keep on writing, everyone!
