OK, this is my second contest!! Here goes!
I want to read your thoughts about evolution. Why you believe it or why you don't. THIS IS A PHILOSOPHIZING CONTEST. I don't want to hear things like, my friend's aunt got killed in a car crash, so I don't believe in God, so to spite him, I'm an evolutionist. Sorry!
I want to hear rational, logical explanations for why you believe in evolution. Give me scientific evidence.
RULES:
1. Keep it down to one or two reasons why you do or don't believe evolution. I don't really want to read five reasons why! Too long...keep it short and sweet, please.
2. Licet non coetusve malle langua!! Latin for: no adult stuff or cussing.
3. You have a Constitutional right to the freedom of speech. However, since I also have one to religion, I ask that there be no bashing God or religion. I am a Christian and expect respect for my beliefs.
4. You amy write in poetic form or essay form. The purpose is communicating your ideas. This is supposed to be a philisophical forum of sorts!
5. Have fun!
P.S. due to my busy life outside AP, I have enlisted three of my friends to help me judge. We will read and respond to your arguments. The most persuasive argument wins!!

Unfortunately, I didn't quite get what I was looking for in this contest, but these were REALLY GREAT entries! I had trouble choosing a winner. In the end, I chose the finalists simply because their poetry showed their meaning a little more clearly. A lot of these were kinda abstract. But congratulations to everybody!!
Before you go, I have one more thing to address. Some entrants in this contest are probsbly not going to read my poems or enter my contests again, on the basis of disagreement. I must say again that respect and an attempt to understand the position of your opponent is absolutely key to debating. However, one person could not do this and ended up insulting me and my friend. PLEASE, I beg of you, don't get carried away if your opponent does not understand your point. Try to work it out calmly and peacefully. Then, everyone's happy .
