Hi folks!
I am again in search of titles and first lines that will inspire me to write a piece of poetry.
Something fun yet interesting, take a gander at some of my pieces to see my style.
I've done one of these contests before and it went really well.
I'm looking for nouns, adjectives and verbs, something that will peak my interest and surprise me.
Here are a couple of title examples:
Off the Deep End
Shoes in my Soup
An Idiot's Pencil
you get the idea - something STRANGE that will really snap me into creativity
I don't write religious stuff, I write with imagery and little abstractness (is that a word?) so the winners will have originality and maybe a bit of abstract ("Off the deep end" could mean LOTS of things, ya know?)
ok so on to the rules:
1. Chat speak is fine (since it's just titles & first lines) unless it's ridiculous
2. ThIs Is FiNe FoR tItLeS - if it adds something to the title.
3. No prewrites (duh, who has titles and first lines ready to go at a moment's notice?)
4. (this is the confusing one)
ONE entry per person. Each entry may have no more than TWO titles and/or first lines. Please state in the entry if you're doing titles or first lines or both.
Have I confused you yet?
Here's an example
PoetOnAllPoetry
Title 1 - All About the Shoes
Line 1 - her laces fell on the floor again
Line 2 - Don't make me call
----
So you get the idea - If the first line goes with the title, great - if not, that's fine too, just separate them.
Here's my last contest similar to this - http://allpoetry.com/contest/2134856
If you have ANY questions, please message me and I'll be happy to clarify.
THANK YOU FOR THE HELP!!!
EDITED TO ADD - please use spell check, it's for your own good. Thank you
