This is a tribute to our great fallen rocker, Dimebag Darrel. He was not only a great guitatest, but he was also a great person. Dimebag was murdered in Ohio while playing at a club with his new band "Damage Plan" His brother Vinny Paul was the drummer. A crazed Pantera fan jumped on stage and said somthing to Dimebag and shot him repeatedly. Vinny Paul wached his brother die. We lost a great person in the rock 'n roll world. Dimebag Darrel will forever be missed. I was watching the special edition headbangers ball "Tribute to Dimebag Darrel" this weekend and about cryed the whole time, but I thought "Why not hold a contest to honor the great rocker?" So behold, I give you the tribute to Dimebag Darrel!

damn that sucks...so he quit or left pantera and a hater jumped on stage while he was jammin the eff out with his new band and said some stuff and shot him to death? thats crazy...thats why security should have those metal beeper things that ya hold in ur hand and sweep them around ppl's body for metal objects...to me thats just smarts. that sucks tho....good luck with ur contest...i dont know this guy at all or i would have the muse to write for him. but i respect what ur doing-bestr of luck to ya!

Dimebag was an insperation on many... When I was sick...all I listened to was Metallica and Pantera

i'm not sure if you've been to alrosa or even live in the columbus, ohio area... but it's an extremely small venue, and they don't have a lot of money so they can't exactly just go get a metal detector. also, the guy who killed dimebag dodged security by jumping the big wooden privacy fence around the smoking patio and coming in through that way.

RIP dimebag... he died in my town, at my favorite venue (alrosa)... i was going to go to the show with a friend, but it turned out that i wasn't able to make it... sigh. i know people who were there when it happened, though. it's a sad, sad thing.
