BEAUTIFUL ENDINGS - REFLECTIONS ON WINTER
OPTION 1:
Write a personal reflection of the here and now -
I want elegance - I want your raw thoughts...
An example of a reflective poem:
I am old, young and tired
I am from a land where people snide
rip you apart
tear you down
for pleasure
This space
here and now
is my release
my oasis
my paradise
tread carefully
worship this land
as if it was the holy grail
make it your own perfection
this is my final resting place
I am consumed
I am intense
Intensely in love
broken shards of daftness
litter the path to freedom
I need this
So much more than desire
petty dirty fantasies
trodden on more times
than my heart by you
I am strong
I am a woman
at the beginning of a journey
just as I found the end -
- you -
OPTION 2 -
Write about the mourning of winter - does it bring any bad memories? Or maybe you love winter and don't want the seasons to change.
It's entirely up to you!
Three easy rules
1. Use Spell Check
2. Quality rather than quantity
3. One entry per person
Good luck!

winter's wrath.
Winter is a monstrous
hump of snow upon my back
a huge mound that bents me down
and cripples me
I am Quasi-no-snow,
for many warm months
and then the affliction
falls over me.
I cling desperately
to an icy ledge of sanity
fingernails gripping
the lip like talons
a gartgantuous gargoyle
unable to ring
the bells of spring
for the rope is slick with sleet
and the bell is frozen solid
to the tower walls.
fair maidens shudder
at my despair
and yet the warmth
of one kiss
might bid me bear
the wrath of winters
bitter bite
but no respite
it is but November
dismembering my dreams
December will gift wrap
my grief in white
to fill my heavy stockings
January will nip
my frostbitten
derriere aired
and Febuary
will pierce my
frigid heart
with an arrow that points
the endless March....
then perhaps relief
at last but
fair April
May take a while
till June.
