Inspiration

Hey guys!!! I'm back with a new contest... here's the deal: I'm going to give you a couple different passages from The Message Bible, and you can choose one, or more to write about.

Ephesians:5
Be prepared. You're up against for more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get. Every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting, you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's wisdom is an undespensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in the on going warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

Philippians 2:1-4
If you've gotten anything at all out of following Christ, if His love has made any difference in your life, if being in a community of the Spirit means anything to you, if you have a heart, if you care - then do me a favor agree with each other, love each other, be deep-spirited friends. Don't push your way to the top. Put yourself aside, and help others get ahead. Don't be obsessed with getting your own advantage. Forget yourselves long enough to lend a helping hand.

Psalm 115
Not for our sake, God, no, not for our sake, but for your name's sake, show your glory. Do it on account of your merciful love, do it on account of your faithful ways. Do it so none of the nations can say. "Where now, oh where is their God?"

James 1:12
Anyone who meets a testing challege head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.

Psalm 100
Know this" God is God, and God, God. He made us; we didn't make him. We're his poeple, his well-tended sheep. Enter with password: "Thank you!" Make yourselves at home, talking praise. Thank him. Worship him. For God is sheer beauty, all-generous in love, loyal always and ever.

Those are your "Inspiration". Have fun with these. I love to read scripture based poems...
Rules:
*Please no profanity

*In the comment box at the bottom, please put which scripture you used.
*Have fun with it!

I think this contest is absolutely wonderful. I love the verses you have provided... not your every day verses, if you know what I mean. Definately going to bookmark and see if I can get my pen flowing at some point. Thanks for hosting and good luck in the judging stages

PLEASE allow prewrites! I have a poem based on scripture, though it's not the verses you listed above, but I still think you would like it! May I please enter!
