For those who do not know, I am the one who currently updates the quote of the day. About a week ago a member suggested to me that I try using member’s quotes instead of just quotes from famous people. So I decided to take that suggestion and turn it into a contest. What I want from you poets of AllPoetry is to simply submit to me a one lined quote that you give permission for me to use for the quote of the day. Not every quote submitted will be used. If your quote is used, I’ll give credit to you and also put that you’re a member of AllPoetry.
The only rules are that there is only one entry per person, and no adult themes or excessive swearing. I am only allowing 20 entries based on the fact that these contests are normally overwhelmed with entries and it is a tough thing to judge just one line. However, if I get a good response from this contest, I may hold more quotes contests.

- Final notes: Wow... I just want you guys to know that this wasn't easy to judge. Not easy at all. I think each of you had a quote that deserved to win. In some ways I wish I could run this kind of contest, but not give out trophies... only points. If you have any ideas, let me know. I enjoyed reading your quotes, but didn't enjoy having to narrow down to my favorite three because almost all of them would be my favorite. I will be running other contests similar to this one, but not until next week. I'm going to be gone all weekend.
